The majestic, dizzying mountains tower over Corrençon-en-Vercors, which flourishes in a lovely clearing below them.
Further south, the village opens up to the immensity of Vercor’s high plateaus, the biggest nature reserve in France with 140 nesting bird species, 72 mammal species including 6 wild ungulates, 75 orchid species, and 1,800 plant species of which 85 are protected.
Standing at the forefront of the French Alps, Vercors offers varied scenery and great places for adventure: deep gorges, plateaus, wide valleys, forest massifs, limestone cliffs, etc.
