| Even since great-grandparents Emilie and Philippe first offered refreshments to woodcutters in the remote Corrençon forest, the tale has lived on. In 1944, after the destruction of their home by the Germans, the family moved closer to the village and rebuilt a farm. The door was always open for a drink or a bite to eat.In 1963, grandparents Eva and René opened their little bistro called Le Bois Fleuri, at the same time as the inauguration of the village’s first chair lift. The first tourist were delighted with the grandmother’s fare and the grandfather’s legendary shouting sessions!In 1988, their son Gérard, a forester and mayor of the village, forged a new destiny for the family home, which became the Hôtel du Golf.In 1995, their children, Sandra and Richard, took over for them. In 2006, they added another building. Forester Gérard supplied the wood and journeyman carpenter John, the youngest of the family, did the building. A family affair! |  |
